Beschreibung
This fine building with an intricately crafted high altar is the largest colonial church in Popayán. It took two decades to build, so much so that the authorities, weary of war, consecrated it in 1787, even though it was only half finished. Its façade is considered to be the finest Baroque-style example in the country.
