This Art Deco building from 1937 houses one of the most important museums in Colombia. The international art room presents the private collection of Botero, with bronzes and paintings by Max Ernst, Rufino Tamayo, Antoni Tàpies etc. Opposite, the Botero Room holds more than a hundred large-format paintings, designs and sculptures bequeathed to the city by the artist. Frescoes by Pedro Nel Gómez decorate certain walls of the building.
