Whatever the season, there's always something going on at Cheekwood, including night-time concerts in summer. Close to Belle Meade, this magnificent estate built on an eminence is also well worth a visit. Nestling in 22 hectares of parkland, it is home to a residence built in the early 1930s by landscape architect Bryant Fleming, who was inspired by the great English manor houses but also by the topography of the area. Outside, there are several paths leading through the various gardens (Japanese, rose garden, perennials, Tennessee plants, etc.).
